From the statistics that we collect from our own web-servers we have seen a very noticeable increase in visitors who are looking for more detailed information about buying property in Austria.  The majority of those visitors were non-members and whilst our active contributors are not that numerous, the number of visitors who visit our forum is really quite considerable.

This could be because they have lost confidence in markets such as Spain, Cyprus, the Middle East and in other countries where the property bubble has burst.  As you all know, Austria remains a steady place in which to invest and no-one has lost money here due to fickle markets, inflated prices or property scams.

Those visitors have read about 15,000 pages of information this month alone (September 2009) and the search words that they keyed into the various search engines indicate to us that they are mostly seeking information on property purchase.  The majority of those visitors come from European countries surrounding (or close to) the borders of Austria although there are a great many visitors from countries all over the world.

We have, therefore, split the "property purchase" topic into a new section and we propose to post up sections under the various relevant headings in the coming weeks.

Our plan is to make this section more informative on the subject.

David.

You are more than welcome to join in our discussions.  You are also welcome to make suggestions.  However, if your "contribution" is, as here, telling us how to run things, then we will delete those posts and possibly your membership.  We would prefer not to do the latter and would really prefer it if you made a constructive contribution for all to enjoy.
